Lee Dai Soh's voice used to reverberate across homes and coffeeshops in Singapore, charming audiences with his riveting takes on Cantonese tales. Relive his animated storytelling sessions in this programme featuring clips from his Rediffusion broadcast days. Lee Dai Soh, having “succeeded” streetside storytellers who used to entertain crowds in Chinatown in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, was a masterful storyteller who became a household name for his work on radio station Rediffusion in the 1950s and 1960s.
Take a walk down memory lane in this special programme featuring audio recordings from his historic and extremely popular broadcast sessions. This physical programme features audio recordings of the historic Rediffusion broadcast of Lee Dai Soh (1913-89).
