Mr Ibrahim will share about his journey to Singapore from Tamil Nadu – how he survived his early days in Singapore and how he set up his business from scratch. He will explain the concept of self-help in the Indian Muslim community – how people from different regions in Tamil Nadu looked after their brethren. He has interesting anecdotes about the social life of immigrants. He will also reveal why he decided to raise his family in Singapore, the challenges he faced and his contributions to the community.

In addition to providing a glimpse into the lives of the Indian Muslim community from the Thucklay region of Tamil Nadu, he will also be talking about the Indian Rojak, a popular delicacy that, it is claimed, his brethren, fellow pioneers of Thucklay, had introduced to Singapore. Mr Ibrahim is fluent in both Tamil and Malayalam. He has even acted in dramas.
